Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of data that LaunchKit ("we", "us", or "our") holds about you, including data we receive when you connect your Meta (Facebook) Business account to LaunchKit.
1. What Data This Covers
When you connect your Meta Business account to LaunchKit, we store the following on your behalf so we can manage your advertising campaigns:
- OAuth access token — an encrypted credential issued by Meta that lets LaunchKit make API calls on your behalf. Stored encrypted at rest.
- Meta user ID and the Business Manager IDs / Ad Account IDs you have granted us access to.
- Cached ad data — campaigns, ad sets, ads, and performance metrics we have read from the Meta Marketing API to display to you or analyze on your behalf.
- Audit log — a record of actions LaunchKit took on your ad accounts (e.g., paused a campaign on a given date).
This is separate from the data we collect when you visit trylaunchkit.com or purchase a product (covered in our Privacy Policy).
2. How to Request Deletion
You have two ways to remove your data:
Option A — Email Request (works for all customers)
- Send an email to help@trylaunchkit.com
- Subject line: Data Deletion Request
- In the body, include the email address you used to purchase LaunchKit and (if known) the Meta user ID or Facebook email connected to your LaunchKit account.
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
Option B — Disconnect via Facebook (immediate revocation)
You can revoke LaunchKit's access to your Meta account directly through Facebook at any time. This immediately invalidates our access token so we can no longer call the Meta API on your behalf.
- Open facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations
- Find LaunchKit in the list of connected business tools
- Click Remove
- Email us at help@trylaunchkit.com if you also want the cached data and audit log deleted from our database (Option A above).
3. What Gets Deleted
When we process your deletion request, we permanently remove:
- Your OAuth access token from our encrypted database
- Cached campaign, ad set, ad, and performance data we fetched from Meta on your behalf
- Action logs of changes LaunchKit made on your behalf
- Any LaunchKit account record tied to your Meta user ID
We retain only what we are legally required to keep (e.g., purchase invoices for tax purposes — see Section 5 of our Privacy Policy).
4. Timeline
- Email confirmation within 2 business days
- Full deletion completed within 30 days
- Confirmation of deletion sent to your email after completion
5. Third-Party Data on Meta
Deletion requests on LaunchKit's side do not delete data inside your Meta account (your campaigns, ads, audiences, etc. remain in your Meta Ads Manager). To delete content inside Meta, use your Meta Ads Manager directly.
